The Green Party of Louisiana is rebuilding and has successfully submitted documents to be recognized by the state of Louisiana as a political party. The GPL will have their first meeting since the Katrina disaster.

Alfred Molison will be a featured speaker at the New Orleans gathering on Saturday, September 8th, location to be announced. The state convention will start at noon on Saturday and go through the evening.

Jason Neville and Robert Caldwell commented that the Green Party of Louisiana successfully petitioned the state government that the GPL is a bona fide political party. As a result of a petition signed by several hundred citizens of Louisiana the state legislature actually passed a law confirming the Green Party of Louisiana's status.
