Peak Oil: End of Cheap Oil Means End of Suburbia

What does Peak Oil mean?
It doesn't mean the oil is running out tomorrow. Technically it will never run out. After 2005, what Peak Oil means is that the oil will no longer be cheap. It will no longer be easy to find and worldwide oil production is going down.
Why is this a problem? Oil supply and price is closely related to food supply and price.
Substitutes and alternatives to oil are already in existence. But none of them are cheap and all of them have major drawbacks in comparison to cheap oil.
Is it Mad Max time? Children of Men? Planet of the Apes? The Omega Man? Soylent Green?
Read all you can. Ask as many questions as you can handle the answers to. Don't expect the current people up top to take care of you. Prepare to take care of yourself and your friends and relatives. Start making demands that our neighborhoods and governments address the issues of Peak Oil and Climate Change.
